Pond Replacement UV Tubes

Pond Ultra-Violet Tubes lose a significant amount of their light output, in the region of 40% to 60% after six months of continuous use (UV's should be operated 24/7) & so the tube should be replaced after this period of use to ensure optimum working efficiency.

It is generally recommended that the tube be replaced at the start of each season (March/April time). Clean the quartz glass sleeve that the tube sits inside of every time a tube is replaced to ensure maximum UV penetration. (This is best done with methylated spirit).
