OASE Alfafol Pond Liners are a high quality PVC material .5mm thick and have a 15 year manufacturers guarantee. German pond product manufacturer OASE has a reputation for producing only top quality products and this liner is no exception.
Although only supplied with a 15 year manufacturers warranty the material is pretty much the same as that supplied by other manufacturers offering 25 year or even lifetime guarantees but the German manufacturer is simply more cautious in their claim.
The guarantee on all pond liners, irrespective of manufacturer is limited. Essentially it applies to the ability of the sheet material to resist damage by sunlight and weathering which could cause hardening of the material leading to cracking. A pond liner with a stated guarantee, therefore, is guaranteed not to degrade in this fashion for a minimum of the stated guarantee period. No other damage, howsoever caused, is covered by the warranty.
